I've finally proved my critics wrong: Katrina Kaif

Katrina who's currently basking in the success of Abbas-Mustan's Race in Dubai has plenty to be happy about. Her heroine-centric turn in Vipul Shah's Namaste London has elicited wah-wahs not just from critics but also from the masses.

"Yeah the film is a hit. And I think I've finally proved my critics wrong. Not that Namaste London is my first success. My first film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and then Sarkar were also successful. But it's good to be recognized in a film that revolves around you."

Next move forward…Katrina has signed on the dotted line for Subhash Ghai's new directorial venture Yuvraj where she's paired with Salman.

If Aishwarya can do item numbers why can't I: Neetu Chandra

When I meet Neetu Chandra in sweltering and scorching heat on location in Bhopal where she is shooting for director Gary Grewal's maiden venture as a director- Khusar Prasad Ka Bhoot in which she has been teamed opposite Randeep Hooda, she is excited about her role in the film.

"I play the role of Chabeeli, a woman of loose character in Khusar Prasad Ka Bhoot. What is interesting is the fact that I am the only girl in the entire film.

Chabili is liked by all the characters in the film. Everyone in the film tries all the time to hit on me. Thanks to the script, I am now having the opportunity to do a performance oriented role in Khusar Prasad Ka Bhoot.

It is my fourth film with Paresh Rawal, with whom I had acted in my very first film Garam Masala", exclaims an excited Neetu.

Director
Arjun Bali

This is no rab ne banayee jodi and nobody would agree to this more than Mallika Sherawat and Ranvir Shorey. Mallika who plays the pagli in Ugli aur Pagli apparently had to use her hands more than Ranvir would have preferred.

Reveals Mallika, "My character is hyper and so every time she gets excited, she slaps the guy. And so Ranvir would get slapped almost everyday on the sets."

Ranvir is more fortright. He says, "The title of the film is incorrect. Instead of Ugli aur Pagli it should be called Kahani of 99 slaps. I must have got slapped at least 100 times including all the retakes."

Jannat

More, more, more...The motto of motorised materialism seems to have overtaken contemporary life. Everyone wants the good things in life in the shortest time possible. The acquisitive spirit has seldom been defined with such economy of storytelling as in "Jannat".

Not surprisingly, a lot of Mahesh Bhatt's latest exposition on the excesses of materialism is shot in shopping malls, expensive restaurants and posh stadiums where money flows like unadulterated honey.

And when our hero sees the love of his life staring at a diamond ring he walks into the showroom and breaks the display window.

'I'm comfortable in a bikini'

Many TV viewers saw and applauded her acting in soaps on the small screen but Shweta Salve of Jhalak Dikhla Ja fame is now making headlines for her bikini photoshoot.

'I don't have any problem in wearing bikini. It's not the first time that I have worn it. Moreover I am comfortable wearing it,' says Shweta, who recently shot in a bikini for Maxim magazine.

The photographs have made Shweta, who is known as the sexy siren of Indian television, very popular.

'I won't do anything I am not comfortable with. I didn't do it unwillingly. It's like I have been doing it. I don't know why it's making news,' she told PTI over the phone from Mumbai.
